Membership Standards

Membership Standards:

• Prospective Member must have a physical location within the geographical boundaries of Door County, either land-based or water-based and accessible by pier, harbor, dinghy….
• Prospective Member’s InnLine page must not advertise business locations outside of Door County
• Prospective Member’s website must promote Door County and other collaborating Door County businesses. The website should not link to or divert business to another destination or substantially promote locations outside of Door County. This provision is waived for properties, businesses and franchisees linked to national or regional brands that have no control over web content, especially those who are tied to a national reservation system.
• Prospective Members must meet these standards before their membership is activated.
• Prospects who have been denied membership may appeal to an ad hoc review committee comprised of three Board Members and the Membership Director. The findings of this committee will be considered final and binding.
• New members will be reviewed within the first 60 days of Bureau Membership for compliance with the above Membership Standards. The Bureau will periodically review web pages linked to InnLine pages at DoorCounty.com for conformance to Standards.
