The Door County Visitor Bureau (DCVB) is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. DCVB uses the information you disclose only to the extent necessary to provide high quality visitor services. This information is not used for any other purpose and is not shared with outside parties, except as provided for in this policy or required by law. The only individually identifiable information that DCVB collects about you is that information which you choose to share with us. DCVB also collects information about aggregate site usage. Statistics that we gather about unique visits, repeat visits and page views are all based on IP address, not on your individual activities. The Visitor Bureau does not sell or trade its information, ever.
Information collection & use
In order to provide our services, DCVB may ask for the following information:
- contact information, including mailing address, phone number and e-mail address;
- demographic information such as postal code, interests; and other information relevant to customer surveys.
- The DCVB may collect this information from the following sources:
- Online subscriptions to the Insider Tip newsletter
- Requests for Visitor Guides and specific information about your visit to Door County
- Scrapbooking and blog participation

We ask for this information to understand your needs and provide you with better service. Our use of this information is primarily for the following purposes:
- improvement of our information delivery, products and services; and transmittal of promotional information regarding new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting.
Sharing of Information
- The Bureau does not disclose any personal information about you to anyone.
All e-mails sent to your account by the DCVB will be limited to:
- e-mails sent in response to an e-mail sent by you
- communications directly related to information, new products or special offers the Bureau feels may be of interest to you. DCVB will only send e-mail to your account that you have specifically requested and/or authorized pursuant to this policy.
You can always decide not to provide personal information. You can let the DCVB know that you do not wish to receive information about special offers, new products and features by opting out at the time you provide your personally identifiable information.
