Take for example, Potawatomi State Park near Sturgeon Bay with 1,200 acres legendary among bikers for its rolling terrain accented by limestone cliffs. Even more, Peninsula State Park’s 3,776 acres has something for everyone including those who want to simply stop and hike on foot for a spell. No bike? No problem. We have outfitters who can set you up by the hour, day, week or whatever as well as provide important helmets, trail info and much more. And note to proud men everywhere: several places even offer guided tours for those who don’t like to stop and ask for directions.

Located near the city of Sturgeon Bay, Potawatomi State Park is a “must-see” of Door County. Sprawling across 1200 acres, the landscape of the park consists of a rolling terrain accented by steep slopes and limestone cliffs. Visitors enjoy fishing from the accessible pier, launching boats, camping, hiking, biking, picnicking and climbing the observation tower for a view 225 feet above bay level. The wide variety of plants, flowers, animals and birds is also an attraction for many visitors.
