Destination Door County to Help Raise Funds for Door County Green Fund
Tuesday, July 12 – Destination Door County recently began selling Care for Door County t-shirts with proceeds benefitting the Door County Community Foundation’s Green Fund. The Green Fund invests in environmental education, funds land preservation, protects native species, and supports other types of “green” projects in Door County.
Destination Door County, then known as the Door County Chamber of Commerce, was instrumental in the founding of the original Door County Green Fund, Inc. back in 1998.
T-shirts are $20 each and are available in Leaf green or Atlantic blue, and the Care for Door County logo is printed on the front of each shirt.
To purchase, visit the Door County Welcome Center at 1015 Green Bay Road, Sturgeon Bay during business hours. T-shirts will also be available at several pop-up events hosted by Destination Door County (DDC) throughout the summer - look for a green colored “Care for Door County” tent.
DDC’s Care for Door County program began in 2021. Care for Door County focuses on cultural, quality-of-life, and eco-focused initiatives to help protect and care for the county we all love and is part of DDC’s enhanced tourism management efforts
