2025 Draft Update Meeting Planned for Dec. 17

Join Destination Door County and the team from Discover Green Bay on Tuesday December 17, 2024 from 1-2 PM for a virtual update meeting for Door County tourism stakeholders about the 2025 Draft, which is coming to Green Bay April 24-26, 2025.

DDC Awards $250,000 In Community Investment Fund Grants

A total of four projects were awarded grants ranging from $50,000 to $100,000. Recipients included two local units of government and two non-profit organizations. The funded projects will benefit local residents as well as visitors to Door County.

Help "Door County Bundle Up" with Winter Gear Drive

For over 10 years Destination Door County and its tourism partners have come together to host a donation drive for winter gear. Locations throughout Door County are collecting new or gently used hats, mittens, and winter gear.

Destination Door County Names New President/CEO

After a nationwide search, Destination Door County has selected a new President/CEO to lead the organization. Julie Gilbert will bring more than 30 years of experience in the destination marketing industry when she steps into the position beginning November 15, 2021.

Moneypenny Moving On

Destination Door County Board Chairman Todd Trimberger announced today that President/CEO Jack Moneypenny is leaving the organization. Moneypenny’s last day will be July 14, 2021.

Tourism Spending Topped $366 Million in Door County Last Year

Visitor spending in Door County was up $8.1 million dollars last year according to a report released by the Wisconsin Department of Tourism. The publication of the state's 2018 tourism economic impact report coincides with National Travel and Tourism Week, which runs from May 5-11, 2019.
