The unsung hospitality heroes and dedicated frontline staff who welcome guests throughout the year work hard to create unforgettable moments in our destination. Our hospitality workforce is an essential part of the Door County visitor experience, and we take this time to recognize them and say thank you for a job well done. Robert Slamka
Robert provides supportive investigative advocacy to victim's families whom have experiences injustices within the criminal justice system with no asks for but integrity. He expresses honesty and transparency without judgment. He goes above and beyond to provide support to vulnerable families' experiences but not limited to hardship and injustices. After the loss of my daughter, I found many disparities; Robert went above and beyond to find information and support the police administration and myself with evidence. and resources. Rhianna Smith from The Sandbox
Rhianna is an amazing server. She is kind, informative, efficient, always friendly and helpful. She knows the menu, makes recommendations and makes you feel you are her only focus, when in reality she is usually the only wait staff working. Dave & Karen Rozek from Buttercups Coffee
We make one or two trips to Door County every year. Our first stop is ALWAYS Buttercups, where Dave & Karen greet us like family. We go daily for coffee (and a scone); and this is always our last stop when we have to return home. They are wonderful people who happen to make great beverages and bakery treats.
